In a world that pushes us to do more, be more, and fix everything, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, unseen, or even like we’re falling short. But God never called you to be everything for everyone—He simply called you to be His.
Scripture says:"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."—Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
You don’t have to carry the weight of your family, your work, your church, and your past all on your own. Jesus invites us into His rest—not inactivity, but peace in activity. Let Him carry what you were never meant to.
Hands-On Guidance: 3 Steps to Rest in Him
Start the Morning with SurrenderSay out loud: “Lord, I give You my schedule, my stress, and my striving. Lead me step by step.”
Write a "Not My Job" ListIdentify areas where you’ve taken on burdens that don’t belong to you. Hand them back to God in prayer.
Unplug to ResetSet aside 15 minutes today without your phone or social media. In that silence, simply sit with Jesus. Let Him speak peace into your soul.
Power Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You that I don’t have to be perfect, I just have to be present—with You. Help me release the pressure to perform and instead rest in Your promises. Strengthen my mind, renew my spirit, and let my heart find true rest in You this week. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
